Greg Chapman tagged me for this...

Cute notepad
Go to either page 7 or 77 of your manuscript. Count down 7 lines, then copy the next 7 lines to your status. After that name 7 more authors to come out and play.

So from page 77 of Descent:

You didn't get high but the rush would do for now. I leafed through the files, seeing rape, murder, hit and runs, all the usual cheery crimes.
And then I saw my name.

For a second my head spun and I tasted bile on my tongue.

Look, the Voice urged. You have to.

Yeah I did.

I'm now supposed to tag seven other people, but hell, anyone who wants to should do it!

  1. Can I play? =D Everything I have now is basically a manuscript and I haven't started anything new. So here's a segment from page 77 of my first MS. Unfinished Business is the working title but I'm going to change it:

“Maybe one day we can be friends again but it won’t be the same.” A sudden wave of sadness overcame me. All of the bluster—all of the anger—dissipated and left me with a hole in my chest. I thought to myself that I probably lost my best friend and a future with a great woman—a woman I loved—because of stupid hormones and people who couldn’t keep their mouths shut.
I walked through his door and out into the breezeway. With a quiet clack the door closed behind me. How did the saying go? ‘The world won’t end with a bang but with a whimper’? That’s how it sure seemed to me. The sound of the door clicking shut sounded like one thing: finality

  2. Thank you much! One of these days I'll get around to editing it. Ever feel like you have so many untapped ideas that you're being pulled in every direction at once?

    1. Always thought that too many ideas would be a good thing. I suppose it is, but man, does it get me spinning my wheels a lot =D (Don't mean to take up all your blog space by the way. Kinda new to this..lol)
